Colorful Gemstone and Magnetic Hemp Jewelry - Handmade Macrame by Psysub

After making hemp jewelry with glass and metal components for years, it occurred to me one day that adding gemstones would be a really nice addition. Since both hemp and gemstones are eco-friendly and natural, and I already had an amount of knowledge about stones, I gave it a shot.

So, many gemstones these days aren't natural, as much as we would like them to be. The many different types of quartz, agate and jade that we never heard about before are simply because they are dyed and not natural occurring gemstones. I have done much research to learn about what stones are real, and what real stones look like in comparison to dyed stones.

I have created many differing macrame designs from super simple to extremely intricate to go with my gemstone hemp jewelry. I have since designed several hemp bracelets, hemp necklaces, and hemp anklets that make use of beautiful brightly colored natural gemstone beads.

Some of the stones that are my personal favorite to work with (which, you will learn that I don't use much of what I don't have a huge amount of appreciation for) are Amethyst, Jade, Hematite, Aventurine, Rose Quartz, Fluorite, Tigers Eye, Sodalite, Garnet, Lapis and Moonstone.

I also feel as if spicing up the designs makes them more appealing, for both me and you. Besides using more than basic knot patterns, I like to combine bright colored hemps that closely match the stones or ones that make them pop out.

Some other things I do to make my gemstone hemp jewelry unique is use a lot of magnetic hematite in combination with other stones and beads for a circulatory healing effect, and just because they are cool.

In addition to the use of polished gemstone round beads, I also like to use carved gemstone pendants, and double terminated crystal points that I wrap with wire. These gemstones make great focal points.

While I do have belief in the healing power of gemstones, I personally find its best that I do simple clarity mediation and that just the simple enjoyment of creating my pieces and appreciating them is enough to leave them positive with enough clarity that the person who wears them will find it easy to use them for chakra and reiki healing methods, or to just increase the confidence of the wearer. This is really why I enjoy making them, because of the enjoyment that I can share when I pass them on.
